When we arrived at this beautiful lavender field for their engagement session, we were met by rain. It didn't stop us from diving right into these gorgeous blooms though! Despite the rainy start, the clouds parted and the sun peeked out for the most beautiful golden sunset we could have asked for.
Jeff & Jill’s Aspen Hall wedding in Bend, Oregon left me with a full heart. Full because every detail was so beautiful. Full because every person I interacted with was so kind. Full because Jeff & Jill have a connection that is awe-inspiring and it filled me to the brim to witness their sweet, joyful love all day long.
Sean & Jessica had the most beautiful intimate garden wedding here in Olympia, Washington. From start to finish, the day was filled with sentimental touches that made one moment after the next so unique and beautiful.
Courtney & Beni’s Mukilteo wedding was an elegant affair with a subtle coastal vibe. On the water in Mukilteo, the Rosehill Community Center was a perfect setting for friends and family to gather and celebrate the happy couple.
Since becoming a mom I’ve grown to appreciate photography so much more than I ever knew I could. I understand more fully that this craft is not just about creating treasured art, but documenting treasured moments. I’ve learned to find beauty not in a perfectly composed and meticulously planned frame, but in the movement, the emotion, the authenticity of the moment that the image represents. Kids will do that to you, ya know? Teach you to find joy in the simplest of things, to let go of the things you can’t control, and to allow yourself to stand in awe of everyday moments.
These two have the sweetest, playful interactions and I loved capturing that during their engagement session. Thank you for spending your morning with me Travis & Bianca! I’m so looking forward to your wedding day!
Lindsey & Jarin are the type of couple that make being in love look natural and effortless. Their interactions are so sweet and genuine and it was really a treat to get to capture some of those moments for them. Jarin is in the Army and was out of the state just up until their wedding in May, and left again soon after. He and Lindsey squeezed this session in during his brief visit home last week and I’m SO glad they did!
I’ve had the honor of documenting this precious family since their own parenting journey began, and I am so excited for Jake & Missy to welcome their second little boy into the world, and for sweet Alexander to become a big brother. Missy, my wish for you today is that you’ll soak up these last few weeks as a family of three, savoring the small moments that will forever be changed once Baby Boy #2 makes his appearance. When he does arrive, he will change your world - only for the better.
