Karmen & Devin celebrated the most beautiful wedding day at the Mason Jar Gathering Barn, a Pacific Northwest wedding venue tucked away on the rolling prairie of Onalaska, Washington.
They exchanged vows in a clearing surrounded by pastures of gorgeous horses, with Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams on the horizon. Just to the side of the ceremony site stood a towering cross; one of the many features that attracted Karmen & Devin to this venue. I love that this powerful symbol of their faith was clearly present during one of the most important moments of their lives.
The ceremony was followed by a joyous barn reception, complete with a variety of homemade pies, including Grandma Diane's famous strawberry rhubarb which she personally served me a slice of and I quickly devoured. I didn't even know I liked strawberry rhubarb pie and it's pretty much all I've thought about since June 1st!
One of the sweetest moments of the night was during the special dances. After their first dance as husband and wife, Karmen & Devin held their sweet baby girl, Gracie, for a dance all of her own. She beamed peacefully through the whole song as her parents embraced her and there was an overwhelming amount of love in that precious moment. What a blessing it was to witness and photograph it!
Karmen & Devin danced into the evening on an outdoor patio under strings of cafe lights with a crackling campfire, lively yard games, and tons of laughter to top it off.
Before making their getaway in a gorgeous 55 Chevy Convertible, they were sent off in true newlywed style through a tunnel of sparklers surrounded by friends and family.
Congratulations Karmen & Devin on a beautiful wedding day and glorious marriage ahead!
